SUMMER PERFORMANCE!

Our show this year is an original fractured fairytale play entitled Ever in Between, written and directed by theatre students Mikayla Taylor and Audrey McGee!

Katherine Larson as the Evil Queen in Ever in Between

With a star-studded local cast of 16, a lighthearted script, and an outdoor space perfect for socially distant audiences, this show will surely bring a smile to young faces all across town!

There is a full-length show to be performed at our stage, but for those who have been cooped up in quarantine a bit too long, we have pre-show scenes scattered along the La Foret Trail, leading from Mary Kyer Park to our venue! Before each performance, audiences will gather in small, socially-distanced groups to walk the trail and be introduced to our characters! (For those with less time or who find the walk a bit much, they can head straight to the stage and catch the pre-show summary in their programs.)

Tickets for the show are FREE by reservation! (We are still a growing theatre company! Donations are recommended at $5 per audience member.)

FOR FRIDAY, AUGUST 14 — the show is currently still on. We are aware of the smoke concerns — please only come for what you feel comfortable with. For updates, check our Facebook page.

Details for performances are below:

  • Evening shows at 6 pm on August 7, 8, 14, 15, with 2 pm matinee performances August 8, 9, 15, 16.
  • Trail walk & guided pre-show begin at Mary Kyer Park and take 15 minutes. Audiences are allowed through the pre-show starting 45 minutes before shows. If you want to walk through the pre-show, please come at least 25 minutes before show, so that our actors have time to set the stage.
  • Donations will be accepted via cash at performances, or via our GoFundMe link: https://www.gofundme.com/f/ever-in-between-sscos-young-people
  • Performances held at Stone Crossing, Northgate, CO — intersection at Bridle Oaks Lane and Tenny Crags Road (see maps below in gallery, venue is at blue pin in each picture).
  • Parking is available at Mary Kyer Park and the adjacent shopping center with LIMITED parking spots next to the stage. Closest spots will be reserved for accessible parking.
  • Seating at the venue will be assigned due to social distancing standards. But don’t worry, there’s not a bad seat in the house! (There is natural seating on the grass or stones within the amphitheatre. If audiences want personal, more comfortable seating –i.e., picnic blankets, camping chairs– we ask that each family unit bring their own, for safety reasons.)

Weather Policy:

  • We are doing this show in an outdoor space, and everyone knows Colorado can be a bit unpredictable! If rain is impending over a show, we will have to cancel.
  • Check up on our website the day of the show. If we have to cancel a show, we will post it in an announcement here.
  • Depending on reservations for other shows, audiences from a rained-out show can (and should!) reserve new tickets.

COVID-19 Precautions:

  • We will be seating each reserved party 6 feet away from others; so please, only reserve tickets for your family unit.
  • If a person in your party is sick or has symptoms of COVID-19 on the day you were planning to attend, please keep them at home. They can reserve a ticket for a different performance, or they can watch the online performance once it comes out.
  • One of the joys of the theatre is talking with the actors behind the magic — unfortunately, we will not be doing a meet-and-greet after the show. This is to protect both our actors and our audience members — we want to keep everyone safe! (Family members or friends, please make plans to meet your cast member later and at a separate place.)
  • Audiences will not take anything physical from the show. Many audience members love to keep their programs after the show is over; however, to reduce risk of spreading germs/viruses, we will have an online program accessible by show dates. In addition, during the show, we will have various props scattered on the ground (specifically, candy). Although these may seem trivial and harmless to pick up, please refrain. They are a potential risk to audience members.

    1. Do you mean Saturday the 15th? We have plenty of open seats at the 2 pm matinee, and a bit of hillside seating at the 6 pm performance! (Friday the 14th, we only have hillside seating left available.)
